Lusail Stadium, located in Lusail City, Qatar, is a remarkable architectural masterpiece and a prominent symbol of modernity. Inspired by the traditional fanar lantern and Arab bowls, the stadium's design pays homage to Qatar's rich cultural heritage. Its iconic circular footprint, floating concrete seating basin, and retractable pitch showcase cutting-edge engineering and innovative design.
The stadium's unique features include a moat-like water feature encircling the building, accessed by six bridges for spectators. The elegant saddle-form roof, subtly supported by a ring of arcing columns, adds to its captivating appearance. The outer enclosure is adorned with movable louvers, resembling the sails of a traditional dhow boat, which not only contribute to its aesthetics but also provide advanced environmental control.
Lusail Stadium's significance goes beyond its architectural grandeur. As a host venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it will welcome football fans from around the globe and play a vital role in this prestigious sporting event. Beyond its function as a sports facility, Lusail Stadium serves as a symbol of Qatar's ambition, innovation, and commitment to sustainable development. In Lusail Stadium, approximately 10,000 sq.m. fire-rated facade profiles are deployed using Forster systems. ISE meticulously created detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and structural calculations, ensuring the highest safety standards and compliance with regulations while guaranteeing precision and quality. ISE’s work on Fire-rated doors, windows, curtain walls, and double-height curtain walls not only enhanced the stadium's aesthetic appeal but also contributed to its overall fire safety measures, providing a secure environment for all occupants. ISE's expertise in delivering top-notch fire-rated façade solutions is well appreciated in this project.
